Dr Beata Sołczyk

Education:
I have a Doctor Degree in Polish Philology. Within the course of study, I also received a degree in Cultural Studies. After graduating I received a Certificate of Merit, granted to the best student, for finishing Polish Philology with very good results. I was also awarded second prize in the competition for the best master’s thesis defended in 2011/2012 academic year in literary studies. Furthermore, I completed a post-graduate course on logopedic. I would like to still develop my skills through attending scientific conferences and teacher’s courses.

Experience:
Currently, I am teaching Polish in High School in Boguchwała. I also write articles and run classes for interested students. I am experienced at teaching students at every level as I took part in interships within EU projects.

Interests:
I am interested in literature, especially from Age of Romanticism, drama since its beginning until modern times, report and travel novel. I am also passionate about the intertextuality of pieces of art.
I am fond of culture anthropology comprising customs, behaviour and culture of language over different Ages. In my free time, I develop my skills as far as computer graphics is concerned in order to make my lessons more attractive for students.

Aims:
Polish lessons are not only about acquiring knowledge, but also, or even after all, getting life wisdom. I hope that literature classes will show the best examples of behaviour and linguistic knowledge will contribute to creating students’ own texts.
